Below are the resources you’ll need to stay on top of the 2026 municipal election in this region.

This page will be frequently updated. Nomination Day is on August 21, 2026, and is the last day candidates can submit or withdraw their nominations. They must do so by 2 p.m.

Election Day is on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Town of Huntsville (Election webpage). A total of nine (9) positions to be elected or acclaimed: the mayor (1), three (3) District & Town councillors and five (5) ward councillors.

Township of Lake of Bays (Election webpage). A total of seven (7) positions: the mayor (1), two (2) District councillors, and four (4) ward councillors.
