Huntsville COVID-19 Assessment Centre now open Saturdays for people with symptoms

In Huntsville, testing for COVID-19 is now available on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for anyone experiencing symptoms.

Saturday testing will be strictly prioritized for people experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. You can book an appointment by calling 1-888-383-7009.

The Assessment Centres in Huntsville and Bracebridge are also open Monday to Friday for testing by appointment by calling 1-888-383-7009. If you cannot make it to an Assessment Centre, call to learn more about your options.

You should consider booking an appointment at the Assessment Centre closest to you if you are experiencing:

Common symptoms:
-Fever (temperature of 37.8°C or greater)
-New or worsening cough
-Shortness of breath

Other symptoms of COVID-19 can include:
-Sore throat
-Difficulty swallowing
-New smell or taste disorder(s)
-Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
-Runny nose, or nasal congestion – in absence of underlying reason for these symptoms such as seasonal allergies, post nasal drip, etc.

Other signs of COVID-19 can include:
-Clinical or radiological evidence of pneumonia

Atypical symptoms/signs of COVID-19 should be considered, particularly in children, older persons,
and people living with a developmental disability.

Atypical symptoms can include:
-Unexplained fatigue/malaise
-Delirium (acutely altered mental status and inattention)
