Residents and visitors looking for fresh local produce, handcrafted goods and a chance to connect with local vendors will have several opportunities to shop close to home this summer as farmers’ markets return across the region.
A new addition to the local market scene is the inaugural Baysville Farmers’ Market, which launches this season at the Lake of Bays Arena and Community Centre, located at 10 University Street in Baysville. The market takes place every Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will run until September 4, 2026. Organizers say the market aims to showcase local farmers, artisans and food producers while creating a vibrant community gathering space.
In Dwight, the popular Dwight Farmers’ Market opens July 1 and will be held every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2876 Highway 60. The weekly market offers visitors an opportunity to purchase locally grown produce, baked goods, preserves, crafts and other products from area vendors throughout the summer season.
Meanwhile, the Huntsville Waterfront Farmers’ Market takes place on June 28 and will continue every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until September 13, 2026. Located on the Huntsville waterfront, the market offers a seasonal tradition, attracting residents and tourists alike with its selection of fresh food, handmade products and locally sourced offerings.
The three markets provide a valuable platform for local farmers, growers, artisans and entrepreneurs while encouraging residents to support local businesses and sustainable food production. Organizers are inviting shoppers to come out throughout the summer to discover what the region’s producers have to offer and to enjoy the sense of community that farmers’ markets help foster.
