The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with shoplifting from a local retail store on Ott Drive in the Town of Huntsville.
On May 26, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Huntsville OPP officers were dispatched to a home improvement store after an off-duty officer observed a male believed to be shoplifting. After an investigation, two people were arrested and charged. Stolen items were retrieved and returned to the store.
Raymond PETRANY, 39 years of age from Huntsville, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5000- Shoplifting
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Kerri DYSON, 43 years of age from Huntsville, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5000- Shoplifting
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge at a future date to answer to their charges.
