The Downtown Huntsville BIA, with support from the Town of Huntsville, is bringing winter life to River Mill Park with a skating rink!
The skating rink will provide a chance for the community to come together and enjoy a winter activity alongside the beautiful river while enjoying the businesses and services in downtown Huntsville.
“The merchants of downtown Huntsville are looking forward to providing a fun activity in their backyards,” said Morgan Richter, Huntsville BIA manager. “The community support has been great, and the impact the skating rink will have on our downtown will not go unnoticed. Initiatives such as this, that bring people to downtown Huntsville, allow us to showcase local businesses and what we have to offer.”
Several local businesses have sponsored the rink. Through sponsorship, local businesses are also being featured―the public can look forward to selected days and nights full of fun activities, such as complementary hot chocolate, glow stick skating fun, business giveaways, wood-fired pizza and so much more.
The skating rink is use at your own risk; sticks and pucks/balls are not allowed.
Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
CURRENT SKATING RINK STATUS:
The skating rink has been flooded but is not ready for use. Please do not use the rink until it is communicated to do so. For live updates on the skating rink, visit the Downtown Huntsville BIA Facebook page, or their website at www.downtownhuntsvilleadventures.ca.
