While we are on the subject of Veterans Way next Remembrance Day let’s have the Town block the streets a block back from the cenotaph to vehicles not specifically involved in the service or people needing accessibility. Perhaps from 1030am till after the service.
It’s great to see so many attending as our Town grows but the streets are needed for people watching the service.
Thanks
I just returned from the site (17:50) – 11 service vehicles including 3 truckeets with buckets, a couple new poles have gone up. There are a number of high voltage lines with a junction breaking off and goiing up Veteran’s way. They are busy rebuilding that junction. It’s a large and complex operation.
Good day – caused by a ‘hydro’ pole being hit and collapsing. at foot of Veteran’s Way. Lots of infrastructure on this pole – hydro, phone, internet, probably cable, etc. along with a street light. They are still working there. Power came back up at 13:20 at Cora/Brunel area.
Odd that outage affects only Town Facilities or is it area wide ? Perhaps ( without rumourmongering ) it is more a computer issue….Let’s hope not !
