With the rise in crime across North America, and the rampant disregard for the property, feelings and lives of others, it’s time to take a harsh stand and go “zero tolerance” on this crap. Theft, vandalism, arson; drug dealing, drunk driving; assault, rape, murder: anyone committing these and similarly offensive crimes should be considered to have decided they no longer want to be a contributing member of society, and they should be dealt with harshly and publicly. If they want to roll back all the progress made by civilized society, then let’s indeed roll it back and bring back public corporal punishment and executions. You don’t want to be a member of society any more? Fine, because society doesn’t really want you around anymore either.
