OPP investigation continues in the South Lancelot Rd area in Allensville

UPDATE: OPP issue a media release at approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 20, 2022: Dispute results in charges

UPDATE: On September 20, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m. neighbours are reporting there is still a police presence in their neighbourhood but access has been restored and the helicopter is no longer flying above. Police are expected to issue a statement with hopefully further information at some point, possibly today.

Huntsville police released a statement at about 7:35 p.m. advising of a heavy police presence in the South Lancelot Rd area in Allensville due to an investigation. They’re asking people to avoid the area if possible. And stated that at this time there is no ongoing concern for public safety. More info will be released when available.

The incident began early this afternoon, September 19, and access to the area was blocked. Huntsville Doppler began receiving notification from area residents that an incident was unfolding at approximately 1 p.m.

Neighbours reported seeing a white vehicle, possibly a van with the passenger side window shot out. They also reported a helicopter circulating in the area and a heavy police presence, including police in tactical swat gear. See the video released by the OPP on Twitter below:
