What about Mitchell Funeral Home. This is unfair to their business.

I agree Kathleen. Thank you for thinking of other businesses.

How do the downtown businesses survive?
I will have to cancel my doctor’s appointment.
Will do my shopping at walmart or the Hts place mall
these 3 days.
Matthew Tynan says
Just think of all the other businesses and the benefits to the township. Film crews provide a nice input into the economy. They are also hiring extras.
I say bring it on!
Marg Winchester says
Good for your Matthew having the insight to the benefits of such an event.
stan dronseika says
Good on ‘ya, Matthew.
Peggy Peterson says
Well , this is interesting and four days of this congestion is too much unless they are paying us big dollars for the privilege . No one has been able to confirm that filmmakers are paying the town anything . If they are paying nothing not making a donation to a local cause we are not serving our public. Films pay for locations so I hope we will find out that this crew is paying something …

Walmart should move to Main St. That would attract the people…Honestly, how do you do your ‘weekly’ shopping on Main st? Great for tourists to browse through on a rainy days
Amy Wright says
It appears the businesses are still open – it’s just the streets that will be closed. You’d have to walk in to the shops and to your appointments.
Frances Botham says
I wonder how this major road closure transpired?
What financial arrangement was made?
What is the contractural arrangement details?
Taxpayers are entitled to the details, so let’s have them.
Robert MacDonald says
After waiting at Center St. and West Road for at least four light changes at 5 pm Thursday, I think it would have been considerate to open Main Street at our busy times to ease the traffic situation showing a bit of thought for people getting home from work.
