The Lake Vernon Association (LVA) has successfully completed the Roadside Cleanup for Aspdin Road and Ravenscliffe Road from Hwy 11 out to Muskoka Rd. 45.
This year’s program expanded to include the five public access points to Lake Vernon. Many thanks to Peter Smith Construction for supplying bags and gloves and to Edmonds GMC for disposing of the garbage collected. This year, over 25 volunteers participated from Aug.1st through Sept 16, and we wish to thank them for a great effort!
A heartfelt thank you to A&W, Rolstons Home Hardware, The Mill on Main, Home Depot, Bickley Ford, and Sandhill Nursery for their continued support of this great endeavour by supplying prizes for volunteers!
When asked about this year’s event, Anne Lindsay, Environmental Committee Chair for the LVA, said: “One of the greatest strengths of the Lake Vernon Association is the willingness of its members to be actively involved in our community projects. The Roadside Cleanup is a great example of this.”
