From the Bracebridge OPP on X at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024: Highway 11S from Bracebridge to Washago remains closed in both directions for cleanup following a major snow storm in the area. There is no timeline for reopening.

This is actually less snow that our area (Washago) received over Christmas two years ago. They must have been better prepared last time as there were no shutdowns.
No snow whatsoever in Toronto and my question is were the plows/salters even deployed to Bracebridge/Gravenhurst to get the problem solved quicker??!!
I was one stranded on the highway. Huge thank you to those who rescued us. For the warming centre opening for us. Sobey’s and the resturant for delivering delicious food.
