It was a difficult start to day 1 of the tournament in Kingston. Despite a really solid first-half performance, the boys lost 5—0 to a highly skilled Toronto Twente West FC. However, in the second game, the boys showed incredible teamwork and determination to bounce back with a thumping 3 – 0 victory against Brockville United FC, with goals coming from George Johns, Paul Bourbeau, and Matt Fuller.
The final game on Saturday resulted in a hard-fought 0 – 0 draw with CFB Kingston Knights, with heat and fatigue setting in. The 4 points from the 3 games were enough to see us through to the semi-finals on Sunday. Unfortunately, it was just one game too many, and we were unable to progress to the final. The team spirit was excellent, morale was high, and we represented our town well.
