Huntsville’s annual Santa Claus Parade had some new elements (did you catch the Pooch Parade?) and old favourites, including the return of Ray Porter as honourary parade marshall. Which float was your favourite?
- Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department ladder truck
- The Pooch Parade was a new addition this year
- Alesha Breckenridge and her daughter Clare helped make sure that recyclables didn’t end up in the trash at the 2017 Santa Claus Parade
- Fowler Construction was one of many colourful floats
- The Lions Club brought the Grinch to this year’s parade
- Rambob’s Log Works had a cozy float
- Huntsville Public School students hope parade goers will support their accessible playground project
- The Campbell Bus Lines bus was familiar and friendly sight for all the school-aged kids
- The Huntsville Curling Club celebrates the coming Ontario Tankard
- The Huntsville Sting girls hockey
- Muskoka Dance Academy brought the Polar Express to the parade
- The Algonquin Outfitters voyageur canoe floats past its store
- The 3rd Huntsville Guides
- An Algonquin Outfitters riders pops a wheelie on his fat bike
- JJ Dance Performing Arts Studio

Santa Claus is the star of the show, of course

That’s because we are Blurry……Thanks
Sorry Bill. I did try but all of the shots I got were blurry.
We’re there any Pipe and Drum Bands in the parade ? There were NO Pics !
A big thanks to the Rotary Club and all sponsors for a great parade. I was standing behind some folks who hadn’t experienced the Huntsville Santa Parade and they were thrilled with the number of floats and bands. The idea of having the dance schools ahead of the official parade was a great addition.
Most of the “floats” were very creative – as usual some were mere advertizing (maybe the organizers could charge each vehicle separately).
Thank you all.
