Huntsville man among those charged with drug trafficking offences

On January 26th, 2018 at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant at a Perry Township residence.

Police seized approximately 100 grams of cocaine, a quantity of OxyNeo pills, cannabinoid pills methamphetamine, cannabidiol oil, approximately 75 grams of cannabis marihuana and $5200.

Police arrested and charged Kimberly JACKSON, 51 of Perry Township, Devon DEMAINE, 23 of Huntsville Ontario, Roderick MAIN, 24 of Toronto Ontario and Daniel SHORT, 20 of Perry Township with the following offences:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking–Cocaine contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking–Under 3 kg contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking–Under 3 kg–Cannabinoid pills contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking–Opioid other than heroin contrary to Section 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance–Methamphetamine contrary to Section 4(1) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance—Cannabis Resin over 1 gram contrary to Section 4(1) CDSA.
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. (CC)

Kimberly JACKSON was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday February 8, 2018 in Sundridge Ontario.

Daniel SHORT was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday February 22, 2018 in Sundridge Ontario.

Both DEMAINE and MAIN were held in police custody and are to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday February 1, 2018 in Parry Sound Ontario.
