Huntsville fire department conducts Big East River rescue

Station 1 was dispatched to Arrowhead Park last night around midnight for a rescue of 3 adults and 1 youth from the Big East River. They had been stranded for a few hours before contacting 911. Crews set up a main rescue line & assisted each person up the extreme 50-metre slope.

    Sand is soft, water is wet and parks are not yet paved and now these folks know that for sure.
    Also, thanks once again to the fire department who always seem to be where they are needed.
