HHS, AAEC, St. Mary’s closed to students today due to one-day teacher strike

Submitted by Trillium Lakelands District School Board

Secondary schools and Adult and Alternate Education Centre sites in Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) are closed to students today, Wednesday, December 11, 2019, due to the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) one-day province-wide strike. This strike impacts all TLDSB secondary teachers and professional support staff in TLDSB.

Public elementary schools are not affected by this announcement and will remain open. (However, due to the snow squall warning and expected deteriorating conditions, all buses to elementary schools in Muskoka for Trillium Lakelands District School Board have been cancelled for Wednesday December 11. Schools remain open.)

(Note: Catholic elementary and secondary schools will also be closed, including St. Mary’s in Huntsville and St. Dom’s in Bracebridge.)
