Today, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) reported the first laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19 in Muskoka. This information just arrived at the health unit this morning and details are still pending, but will be released by the health unit on March 26 once it has had opportunity to review the case and take appropriate actions. Stay tuned for more information.

money buys hospital supplies and pays nurses
Hello John. How many others did they infect in the LCBO beside you.
How many other places did these morons visit before returning home.
The next two weeks in Huntsville are going to be very scary.
Think I will become a hermit for the next few months and pray.
Honestly, don’t people realized how contagious COVID19 is. I served a customer at the LCBO, who after I boxed up his large order told me that he was on his eighth day of a fourteen day of being quarantine. Then I had two woman ask for a particular bottle of wine that they had in Florida and wanted to get some before they went home from their trip. I am now under total isolation for fourteen days with some symptoms showing.
The Public Health unit’s stats page on COVID-19 cases does say whether the person’s redidence is in Simcoe County or Muskoka — still two pretty large areas. As they have not been testing everyone who has symptoms and there is a backlog in Ontario of over 10,000 tests that have not been processed and people can be spreading the virus without having symptoms, we should all act as if there is a real possibility of being exposed when out in the community.
The SMDHU is a very broad geographical area. Anywhere from Huntsville to Collingwood and all points in between. Would feel much more informed and somewhat safer with more clarity.
Thanks in advance.
Why does the Town of Huntsville still have its arena workers working when the arena is closed? Physical distancing?
I hope the Huntsville Hospital is not charging it’s workers for parking! They deserve a break for all that they are doing. I also hope the gates are up in the parking lots for anybody else. Now is not the time to be taking any money from anybody. Nor should anyone have to repair or collect the money from the machines. People going to the doctor or for prescriptions should also not have to pay!
