Enliven raises almost $10,000 with World Cancer Day virtual events, thanks community for support

Submitted by Enliven Cancer Care

Enliven Cancer Care would like to thank our community for the amazing support we have received over the past week. In honor of World Cancer Day, Enliven held our second annual World Cancer Day Art Auction as well as our second annual Enliven Challenge Jo-Athlon.

We are excited to announce that we have raised $9,790 this year! We had a great turn out for our online auction and had over 80 participants registered and bidding. The auction featured a range of pieces including original paintings, pottery, turned wood, jewellery, and fabric art.

During the week of February 1-7 we held an ‘Art Walk’ in Downtown Huntsville, where the auction pieces were displayed in local businesses. Thank you to Soapstones, Reflections of Muskoka, The Great Vine, That Little Place by the Lights, Christmas Tyme, Artisans of Muskoka, the Whimsical Bakery space, and The Framing Place and Gallery for displaying the art for all to see.

We are fortunate to have such a range of talented artists in Muskoka and we want to again extend our thanks to the many artists who donated their works.

Thank you to Ken Biggs, Paula Boon, Miranda Britton, Pam Carnochan, Andre Carriere, Monique Charlton, Matt Coles, Wendie Donabie, Heather Douglas, Paul Fairhurst, Keri- Lyn Freebird (Burnt Timber Art), Karen Gray, Beverley Hawksley, Nicole Hay (MadeByMrsHay), Terri Howell, Meghan Irvine, Brooke Knight, Gerry Lantaigne, Brian Markham, Janine Marson, Catherine O’Mara, Helena Renwick, Mary Spring, Karen Thorn (Frockful of Funk),
Roberta Twaddle, and The Framing Place and Gallery.

We are grateful to be in such a generous and philanthropic community. Thank you to all of our donors for the continued support!

If you missed the auction and would like to view the art visit the Art Auction on our website.
