The annual Dwight Firefest drew hundreds to Dwight beach on Saturday, July 30. There was a line-up all night for the ever-popular rides in the Huntsville Lake of Bays fireboat. On shore, beachgoers enjoyed live music from the Tobin Spring Band, Sno-Kones and Kettle Korn, and an up-close look at the fire department’s ladder truck. If you missed it, check out the photos and video clip below.
- The fire department’s ladder truck provided fun relief from the heat
- Kids young and old play under the ladder truck’s spray at FireFest
- The Tobin Spring band provided live tunes for beachgoers
- The fireboat was busy all night
- Olivia, Ross and Aiden Elliott missed out on the fireboat tour last year so they lined up early tonight.
- The Dykstra family (from left) Katelyn, Martin, Dylan, Monica and Nolan were all smiles at the end of their fireboat ride
- (From left) Allexis, Lily and Zoe Caughey checked out the inside of the fire department’s ladder truck.
- Sno Kones were a popular treat even after the sun went down
- As night fell, boats lined up out in Dwight Bay awaiting the start of the fireworks. The fireboat, at left, collected donations from those watching from the water.
- The fireworks display at Dwight Firefest is arguably the best in Muskoka.
