Art Fx is a year-long series on Huntsville Doppler featuring Huntsville-area visual artists.

“True Splendor” by Roxanne Driedger is a 40″ x 60″ oil on canvas.

“Being a permanent resident of Muskoka I regularly enjoy the local beauty,” says Roxanne, “but when it’s time to get away, Killarney is a short three-hour drive north. ‘True Splendor’ is a scene from George Lake in Killarney Provincial Park, a vast wilderness area with endless miles of rock, water and trees. I was inspired during a quiet evening paddle around George Lake; the fleeting evening sun, the rockface and the glow of the trees against the shadowed distant hill was a perfect scene.”

“True Splendor” is available at the Eclipse Art Gallery at Deerhurst Resort.
