Art Fx is a year-long series on Huntsville Doppler featuring Huntsville-area visual artists.

Jenn Snowden has always loved both superhero books and monster horror comics. She was inspired to bring what she loved reading into her own style and recently began work on a monster antihero comic.

Largely self-taught, Jenn shares her love for cartooning, and art in general, with others every chance she gets. She has taught at many locations in Huntsville, including private lessons, at the local library, and at More Than Just Art.

As she works on her comic book’s pages, as well as images for collector items like posters, stickers, and pins, she will be raising funds this summer to print the book as an independent artist.

About the artist:

Cartoon artist Jennifer (Jenn) Snowden started doodling when she was just two-years old. She gravitated toward cartooning at a young age and became a student of the Charles Schulz Art Instruction School, which gave her a strong foundation in many styles.

Jenn believes that you are never too old to pursue a passion, especially in art. She is an instructor at More Than Just Art, where she has shared her love for cartooning with students of all ages.

Contact Jenn at jennsnowdencartoons@gmail.com or find her on Twitter @Kinmara2 where you can see more of her works in progress.

Jenn is an incredible artist, and a patient, skilled teacher. We are so fortunate to have her living in Huntsville.
