Yearley Road to close for bridge reconstruction starting July 17

The District Public Works Department is advising that work will begin on the Yearley Road bridge on July 17 and Yearley Road, 485 metres northeast of the Yearley Community Centre, will be closed with no emergency access. The project completion date is not anticipated until October 31, 2023.

“The Yearley Road Bridge, located on Muskoka Road 31, is crucial infrastructure connecting Muskoka Road 3 and the Hamlet of Yearley. The bridge has been in service for quite some time and nearing the end of its useful life. A full replacement is necessary to ensure the safety and convenience of road users. Available Detour Options – Detour routes have been made available to ensure that residents can still access important locations while the bridge is being replaced For more information and to learn routes to avoid the area during planned construction, please visit www.muskoka.cc/RC,” according to the District.
