Three walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics available in Muskoka August 18-20

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is holding three walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Muskoka this week for both first and second doses:

Aug. 18, 10-4, Bracebridge Sportsplex (110 Clearbrook Trail); and
Aug 19 and 20, 10-4, Huntsville’s Canada Summit Centre (20 Park Drive).

The walk-in clinics are for residents of Simcoe Muskoka only who are at least 12 years of age. The vaccines provided are mRNA and doses are available while supplies last.

If you received an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as your first dose, you are eligible for your second dose at the provincial interval of at least 28 days after the first dose. If you received AstraZeneca vaccine as your first dose and are opting to receive an mRNA vaccine for your second dose you are eligible for your second dose 8 to 12 weeks after your first dose.

Dress for the weather as you may be required to wait outdoors. Bring your health card, a list of medications, and any assistive devices you may require (walkers, canes, etc.)

You can also check for pop-up clinics near you on the SMDHU website here.
