Visiting moose calf raises eyebrows at the Alexander

Residents at Campus Trail (by the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital) were amazed to see a young moose who may have been thinking of calling the Alexander condominium home. And why not? There is shrubbery, interesting contraptions onsite, and even a covered place to lie down.

All day yesterday, Monday, February 5, a young moose clung to the Alexander condo at Campus Trail, noted resident Dennis Rolland.

When darkness started to fall, she lay down on her knees in the carport.

Apparently, the MNRF has been called. We will update this story as we get more information. Drop by later.

UPDATE: According to one of the area residents, the moose was transferred to Aspen Wildlife Sanctuary for care.
