Vehicle goes off the edge of Lions Lookout

UPDATE 10/17/2018: No charges laid in Lions Lookout accident

On the morning of Monday, October 15, emergency crews responded to Lions Lookout for a vehicle that had gone off the edge of the popular viewpoint. It appeared to contain two people who were carried down on stretchers from the vehicle’s resting point mid-way down the north slope below the lookout.

Emergency vehicles responded to Lions Lookout after reports that a vehicle had gone over the edge.

First responders brought the two occupants of the vehicle down in stretchers, where ambulances were waiting to take them to hospital.

The driver is said to have gone through a rock marker at the top of the Lookout. The vehicle is alleged to have dropped about 70 feet. One of the occupants is said to be in serious condition.

    If you want a more dangerous situation than the lookout, try Cliff and King William St. where about every 2, or 3rd., car goes through the red light without stopping.
