The Town of Huntsville will hold a public meeting on September 11 to hear a proposal for a cultural arts music studio on Lone Pine Drive, known as Jimmy Joy’s Music Room.
The applicant, Jim Brendish, is proposing a Community Planning Permit By-law Amendment to change the precinct on the lot from a Rural (RU) precinct to a Rural with Exception (RUException) precinct to recognize a “Cultural Arts Music Studio” within an existing 150m2 detached accessory building as an additional permitted accessory use on the lands. For the purpose of the proposed amendment, a “Cultural Arts Music Studio” shall mean the use of an existing 150m2 detached accessory building as a venue for music events for a maximum of 125 people, a maximum of three (3) times per week, according to the municipal notice.
The meeting starts at 1 p.m. and takes place in the council chamber on the third floor or you can watch it live at https://www.huntsville.ca/en/council-and-administration/live-council.aspx

A wonderful venue that adds so much to the area. Not loud or late closing. Hope all goes well.
This is a no brainer approval for a council who purportedly supports local artists. If we don’t get this done, we’re stuck with tribute bands on a boat.
Good luck Jim. The more live music , at an affordable price , the better !
