It was early Sunday morning when the 35th annual Terry Fox Run kicked off and participants, many with coffees in hand, were eager and enthusiastic. Close to 300 people (297 to be exact!) took part in this year’s run, walk, bike, which held its tradition of starting from the Huntsville High School. Opening remarks were spirited and a warm-up dance got everyone in the mood for the event. Some walked, some ran and some wheeled, but everyone was there for the same reason: to support a great cause.
The amount raised at this year’s run is still being tallied, but last year the community helped raise over $58,000 for cancer research.
The major causes of cancer have been known for a while now. There’s no need to run. This video explains where the problems lie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS0xclN1DfU
