Robert Warner, a Sundridge retiree from the automotive industry, says he has been a weekly lottery player since he was 21.
“I typically play LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX and I also love INSTANT games,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Robert says he thought he won $50 at first, but when he brought his ticket to the store, he discovered he won $50,000. “I was so shocked and emotional,” he said. “I went straight home to tell my wife. I had happy tears rolling down my face when I told her.”
He plans to pay off his bills and invest most of his win. “I will also put some toward work around the house and will share some gifts with my children and grandchildren.”
“This win is a dream come true. I’m ecstatic,” Robert concluded.
INSTANT $50K is available for $50 and the top prize is $50,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.68.
The winning ticket was purchased at Stoney Lake Variety on Highway 124 in Sundridge.
