The Rotary Club of Huntsville’s Annual Christmas Auction website is up and running. Final bids will be accepted up until Sunday, December 3. The auction is available at www.huntsvillerotaryauction.com. More than 300 items have been donated by local businesses and individuals throughout the community, with a combined value in excess of $40,000.
Donations include golf packages for the Deerhurst Highlands and Mark O’Meara courses, art and entertainment items, dining and massage gift certificates, tools, electronics as well as items and services for the home and garden, and more.
The auction is a great way to do your Christmas shopping early. In addition to offering gift items in all price ranges, the auction also offers you the opportunity to get some great deals and not pay taxes. Most importantly. you will be shopping locally and recognizing the contributions of the many local businesses who contributed items in support of the club’s fundraising efforts!
Bids can only be accepted online and you must register to bid, even if you were signed up last year. Visit www.huntsvillerotaryauction.com now to review the items and to place bids. Bidders will be required to register a credit card when they sign up, and that card will be used to make payment if they are the successful bidder. Successful bidders can pick up their items at the auction depot on the Monday and Tuesday following the auction day.
Can’t be available on Auction Day, or don’t want to follow the entire broadcast? Then use the Max Bid option. This allows you to enter an amount that you are prepared to pay for an item. As bidding progresses, the system will automatically bid in prescribed increments to keep you at the top, up to your max bid. The best part is that if the bidding does not reach your max bid you will only pay the amount needed to win the item!
The Rotary Christmas Auction is a principal fundraiser for the Huntsville Rotary Club and is essential to raise the funds necessary for the club to continue to do the good works of Rotary in our community and beyond. Local Rotarians thank you in advance for your support of the Christmas Auction.
