It’s that time of year again: the Rotary Club of Huntsville is seeking nominations of individuals in our community who go above and beyond. These are people who lead by example and exemplify The Four-Way Test, four questions Rotarians ask themselves of the things they think, say or do:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The individual chosen from the nominations will be recognized with a Paul Harris Fellowship at the club’s President’s Night on June 19th. There are over 1,000,000 Paul Harris Fellows across the world, and not all are Rotarians.
You can submit a nomination via the Rotary Club of Huntsville website here. Nominations must be submitted by May 17. Nominees can be any age and must be a resident of the Huntsville-area community, including Port Sydney, Utterson, Novar, Emsdale, Dwight and Dorset.
It is an honour to be recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow, therefore the nominee as a non-Rotarian should hold the same values and ethics in line with those of Rotary members. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service; high ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each person’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society; the application of the ideal of service in each person’s personal, business, and community life; and the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world of fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
