Rotary Club of Huntsville adds new venue and ups its bingo fundraiser

Effective Tuesday, January 2 the Rotary Club of Huntsville has announced that their Super Jackpot will be increased to $4,500 for a full card in 52 numbers, making it the largest bingo jackpot in Muskoka. They will also keep the popular Junior Jackpot portion of the final game that pays $1,000 to players who fill their card in 54 numbers or less. In fact, the January 9th bingo will feature a ‘Guaranteed Jackpot Giveaway’. Lucky players will win or share in the $4,500 Jackpot as well as the $1,000 in other prize money.

The other important change will be that players who do not subscribe to Cogeco/Your TV will now be able to play at the local Royal Canadian Legion, located at 21 Veteran’s Way in Huntsville. The Legion will join Boston Pizza as a venue where bingo cards can be purchased and played in an environment with other bingo players.

Rotary Bingo, on Cogeco/Your TV channel 10 and 700, has been a main fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Huntsville since its inception in 1999. Each Tuesday at 7 pm bingo players tune in to Cogeco to play five different games. At a minimum, the payout on the jackpot game is $500, for a guaranteed weekly payout of $1,500 over the five games. The best part is your prize money is delivered to your door following the broadcast.

Funds from the bingo are used to fund the Rotary Human Resources budget which directly supports medical and social financial requests from those in need throughout the year. The funds also support the Rotary Club’s extensive youth programs, including the HHS Breakfast Club, HHS Robotics, youth exchange program, educational workshops, and retreats for young adults.

Cards are $10 for a five-game pack and can be purchased at the downtown Circle K store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Brunel Mart, West Road Convenience, Canadian Dollar Store, and both locations of the Capstone/Petro Canada stores. As mentioned above, cards can be bought and played at Boston Pizza and The Legion.
