Rotary’s annual Christmas Auction returns with more than 270 items to bid on

Mark your calendar for tomorrow, Sunday, November 19 and plan to participate in the Rotary Club of Huntsville’s Annual Christmas Auction.

This year, the auction will be broadcast live from Partners Hall in the Algonquin Theatre on YourTV cable 10 and 700 starting at noon and running to 4:00 p.m. Get in on the action and bring down your own device, hook into the complimentary Wi-Fi and bid live with the broadcast. The auction is online at huntsvillerotaryauction.com.

The auction offers more than 270 items that have been donated by local businesses and individuals, with a combined value in excess of $48,000. Donations include golf packages for the Deerhurst Highlands and Mark O’Meara courses, art and entertainment items, dining gift certificates, tools, electronics, and items for the home and garden.

As in past years, the auction will end with the chance to bid on a fly-in fishing trip for four to Northern Ontario, in addition to some hardwood flooring and an antique bedroom set. Details on all the items up for bid are available on the web site, or download a copy of the auction flyer here.

The auction is a great way to allow you to do your Christmas shopping early. In addition to offering gift items in all price ranges, the auction also offers you the opportunity to get some great deals and not pay taxes. Most importantly, you will be shopping locally and recognizing the contributions of the many local businesses who provided items in support of the club’s fundraising efforts!

Bids can only be accepted online and you must register to bid, even if you were signed up last year. Successful bidders can pick up and pay for their items at the auction depot on the day of the auction, or on the Monday and Tuesday following. Payment can be by cash, cheque or credit card.
