Notice of Public Consultation on the Issuance of a Long-Term Care (LTC) Municipal Home Approval for Fairvern Nursing Home, a LTC Home in Huntsville
The Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC) is reviewing a request from Huntsville District Nursing Home Inc. (the Licensee) related to Fairvern Nursing Home, a 76-bed non-profit long-term care (LTC) home, currently located at 14 Mill Street in Huntsville, Ontario (the Home).
The request involves the following:
• The issuance of a LTC Municipal Home Approval (Approval) to the District of the Municipality of Muskoka (the Municipality) for Fairvern Nursing Home at its current location. The Licensee would be required to return their licence to the MLTC upon the Municipality receiving the Approval; and,
• A new Approval to be issued to the Municipality upon completion of the redevelopment of the new 160-bed LTC home to be located at 450 Muskoka Road 3 North in Huntsville.
In accordance with section 106 of theLTCHA, public opinion is being sought prior to a final decision being made relating to this proposal. If you have comments or opinions and would like to bring them to the attention of the MLTC, you may:

Please include the name of the LTC Home and quote Project #21-011 on all written submissions.
As part of the MLTC’s review, the Director will consider all written submissions before making a final decision relating to the proposal.
