PMCN looking for feedback to develop a regional innovation strategy

In today’s economy, embracing innovation has helped all sizes and sectors of businesses, organizations and communities become more efficient, embrace change, and develop new solutions to old problems.

“Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network (PMCN) views innovation as a key opportunity for the Parry Sound and Muskoka Districts to remain competitive on a national and international scale as the global economy continues to evolve and change,” said John Finley, Chair of PMCN.

As a result, PMCN is undertaking a study to develop a regional innovation strategy. The study will involve collecting information from businesses, organizations and the public throughout the duration of the study through surveys, focus groups, and open houses.

A number of key stakeholders in the region, including provincial representatives, municipalities, postsecondary, Chambers of Commerce and other innovative organizations are involved in the development of the strategy.

Initially PMCN is looking for feedback directly from businesses and organizations in the Districts of Parry Sound and Muskoka. They have put together a survey to understand the funding and resources required to help businesses and organizations embrace the idea of innovative.

If you are a business or organization in the Parry Sound/Muskoka region you can complete the survey and be eligible to win some very cool prizes at pmcn.ca/ristrategy. The survey is open until November 30, 2017.

The strategy is expected to be completed in September, 2018 and the PMCN will be looking to connect with businesses, organizations and the public throughout the process.
