HWY 11 is closed in both directions between HWY 141(W) MUSKOKA RD 10-PT SIDNEY RD (E) OP and N JCT MUSKOKA RD 169 (BETHUNE DR). All lanes closed.
Some residents are on their second day without power. A resident on Lone Pine Drive sent Doppler a message concerned that her road had not been plowed making it impossible for emergency vehicles to get through or family members to bring them a generator to stay warm as they have no alternate heat source. “People will freeze if it gets much colder. They need to call a state of emergency. Someone needs to do something,” said the resident, adding that she hasn’t seen a plow in three days.
