On Monday, September 23, 2019, Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified by Canada Post that a rural mailbox was broken into.
Sometime over the weekend, unknown culprits pried open six out of nine compartments of a rural mailbox on Muskoka Rd #3 N in the town of Huntsville, On. The culprits removed any items that were inside the compartments.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2019, Huntsville OPP was notified by Canada Post that a rural mailbox was broken into on Lindgren Rd. W. in the town of Huntsville, On. It is unknown if any mail was removed from these compartments.
Huntsville OPP is seeking assistance in solving these incidents. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
This investigation is continuing and Police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
