The Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment is investigating the discovery of skeletal remains.
On Wednesday, May 04, 2022 at approximately 5:32 p.m., a member of the public called the OPP to report the discovery west of Highway 11 in large field near Hemmings Road in rural Huntsville.
The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario is being assisted in this investigation by the Huntsville OPP Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Services and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Police further advise that there is no public safety concern.
This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when it becomes available.
