The Etwell Concert Series kicked off its first outdoor concert on Sunday, June 26 with the Women’s Blues Review. While vocal powerhouses Lisa Hutchinson, Cheryl Lescom and Tamica Herod belted out the blues for an exceptional five-hour concert, local musician Tobin Spring recruited some of Ontario’s best musicians to form a backup band. Sunday’s steamy temperature didn’t stop anyone from moving and grooving on the dance floor. Close to 80 people came to rock out and if you haven’t attended this truly unique event, wait no longer! It promises fun for the whole family with toe-tapping tunes people of all ages can enjoy.
The Etwell Concert Series is hosted by Tobin along with his parents Bill and Jeanine Spring at their beautiful home in a picturesque country setting out Etwell Road. The event runs every Sunday throughout the summer. Admission is a suggested donation of $20. For more information, visit www.etwellconcertseries.ca or call 705-789-2972.

- It was pretty apparent that Lisa Hutchinson was feeling Tobin Spring’s vibe. The local musician can wail on his guitar like no other.
- Lauren Power and Sheila McCaskill make some homemade pizza for hungry guests. The wood-fired pizza oven makes for a nice, light snack that is truly divine.
- The outdoor stage offers ample room for guests and there’s the perfect dance floor right in the middle. You can’t miss a thing!
