MY FATHER, MY HERO
A father’s love, beacon in the night,
My hand in his, everything felt right.
Guiding me through life, love so bright,
Father’s care, my guiding light.
MY HERO
Lessons of love and life, he’d often say,
Wisdom and patience, showing the way.
His words a gift, in my heart to stay,
Father’s teachings, in every day.
MY HERO
Hands that worked so hard, steadfast and strong,
Always made time for lunch with me along.
His grasp, strength and love, ever pure,
Father’s heart, always steadfast and sure.
MY HERO
Brotherhood of firefighters, he stood tall,
Kin beside him, answering every call.
Legacy of courage, passed from sire to son,
Saving lives and homes, their duty done.
MY HERO
Scout leader, he opened a world so wide,
Wisdom and guidance, I stood by his side.
“Always do your best,” his words profound,
In every Scout Law, wisdom abounds.
MY HERO
Growing up, his presence always near,
Steadfast support, no reason for fear.
Not just for me, but for all held dear,
His love and care, forever sincere.
MY HERO
A world of shifting tides and fleeting days,
One constant remained, forever always.
He was the anchor in the endless craze,
The one who loved me, in unwavering ways.
MY HERO
Tears in my eyes, and love so grand,
Farewell to your touch, gentle guiding hand.
I’ll miss the warmth, love that it contains,
In memories, your presence forever remains.
MY FATHER, MY HERO…

Marilyn, Randy and family I am sorry to hear of Norm’s passing. May you find peace in the days ahead knowing others are surrounding you in prayer and warm thoughts.
Randy I have a great picture of you your Dad and my son when you came to the house to do photos for me. It always brought a smile to my face and will continue to do so.
My uncle Norm was a wonderful man always happy to share his memories and stories with a smile, growing up with My cousin Randy I spent many summer days in Simcoe. My uncle Norm was always happy to see me and was never without a story of his past to tell me. Uncle Norm was a gentle man full of kindness for anyone who need a helping hand and a encouraging word. My favourite memory was spent driving to PEI scout jamboree with my father ,uncle Norm and cousin Randy. Randy and I in the back of a pickup . Norm had the patience of a saint, proven over and over when Randy and I got into Tom foolery whenever were together. When I had my own family he treated and excepted them as family with love and kindness without question. Uncle Norm had the strength of 10 men , but our lord called him home ,his duties in life accomplished , rest in piece Norm, until we see each other again. John MacDonald.
