Need help filing your taxes? Library offers free income tax clinics for eligible residents

 

Huntsville Public Library will be offering eligible local residents help in filing their taxes this spring.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a program where Canada Revenue Agency trained and certified volunteers complete income tax returns for eligible people free of charge.

The program is available to individuals and families with a simple tax situation and low to moderate income. If you have multiple years of returns to complete, we are able to help file up to five years of returns.

Income eligibility criteria:
• 1 persons- $35,000
• 2 persons- $45,000
• 3 persons- $47,500
• 4 persons- $50,000
• 5 persons- $52,500
• More than 5 persons- $52,500 + $2,500 for each additional person
