The Town of Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays have further extended the 2018 municipal voting period until Tuesday, October 23rd at 8:00pm. The voting deadline had originally been extended by one hour, but that was revised due to the number of electors still trying to vote.
The online voting systems are experiencing significant slowdowns due to high volume usage. In response, and to accommodate electors, the Municipal Clerk has extended the voting hours. Staff are managing the situation with the vendor to improve response time.
Electors are encouraged to vote online or by phone until Tuesday, October 23 at 8:00pm.
The Huntsville Election Help Centre, at 37 Main Street East, will be open to assist electors from 8:30am – 8:00pm tomorrow (October 23) and a help line is available during those hours at 705-224-8683.

Couldn’t get through, couldn’t get through, couldn’t get through…eventually gave up and tossed my voter card in fireplace. Now I find out that voting is extended till 8:00 tonight (Oct. 23).
Not a happy constituent!

Told you so ! Twice in 3 / three elections……Priceless !

Anyone really interested in having their vote counted will find a way to do so now that the hours have been extended to accommodate more voters. Call the help line for info without your card. Hard to believe that with a total available voter count known, sufficient access was not available in the event that everyone on that list chose to vote???
