MAHC seeking members for its Patient and Family Advisory Committee

Applications are being accepted for Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) Patient and Family Advisory Committee, seeking community members who have been a patient or a family member of a patient at either of MAHC’s two sites.

The Patient and Family Advisory Committee is an advisory resource for tapping into the patient and family perspective when developing policies and processes, and introducing new initiatives. The committee meets monthly and is made up of 10 volunteer advisors. Applications are welcome to fill three positions.

“The patient and family perspective has never been more important or influential in health care,” says Natalie Bubela, MAHC Chief Executive Officer. “Having a Patient and Family Advisory Committee provides us with tremendous firsthand experience and feedback that is important to ensuring we are always providing care that is patient- and family-centred. The input is so valuable to improving care and the overall patient experience.”

If you are interested in applying, please complete the online application form by Friday, November 9. The application form is accessible through the home page of the MAHC website or by visiting www.surveymonkey.com/r/ MAHCPFAC.
