Get involved in your local hospital by applying to join the skills-based team of volunteer directors at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) as a board member or community member of a standing board committee.
Previous experience on boards with similar scope and challenges would be an asset.
Applicants for either position must meet eligibility requirements; reside, be employed or be listed on a municipal voters’ list or tax roll in the Muskoka or East Parry Sound geographic area; and be 18 years of age or older. A police criminal record check is also required.
In addition to attending monthly board meetings that alternate between hospital sites, board directors must be able to devote at least 20 hours per month for meeting preparation, committee work, and other events for up to a three-year appointment.
Applications are also being accepted for community members on the Strategic Planning or Quality & Patient Safety standing board committees. Applicants must attend the standing committee meetings and provide a time commitment of approximately three to five hours monthly for a one-year appointment.
The application deadline for both a board member and community member is 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Apply online today by visiting the MAHC website. Only those applicants chosen to be interviewed will be contacted.
