Late spring affords one more day of skiing at Hidden Valley

The decision is official. Mother Nature has not melted much snow or thrown any monkey wrenches in the weather forecast so Hidden Valley Ski Area will be open on Saturday April 6, for one last day. The hills will operate from 9am – 4pm. It looks like it could be a great afternoon on the deck if the weather stays as forecasted.

As anticipated, it was very difficult to find staff for the extra day of operation. There may be only two or three chairlifts operational at a time. However, lift operation will rotate so that everyone can experience all of the runs at some point in the day. There is a special lift ticket rate of $36.00 plus tax for any age for the whole day. All passes will be honoured.

This picture was taken before any grooming on Wednesday April 3. As you can see, the conditions will be great. Pucker Up and the Fun Run will not be open due to the open cliff band in the middle of them. The Glades will not be open due to un-safe conditions. All other runs will be wide open without any dirt spots.

The cafeteria menu will be limited. Invite your friends and family for what is sure to be a great day to hit the slopes one last time this season.
