Lake of Bays to hold a public meeting on final Community Improvement Plan

From the Township of Lake of Bays

The Township of Lake of Bays will be holding a second meeting concerning an updated Community Improvement Plan (CIP) and Community Improvement Project Areas By-law–Baysville, Dorset, Dwight, and Hillside.

The Township has prepared an updated Community Improvement Plan (CIP) which considered all written and oral submissions received on the DRAFT CIP. The Community Improvement Project Areas By-law, as proposed, will designate the communities in the Township of Lake of Bays as the focus of the CIP, being the communities of Baysville, Dwight, Dorset, and Hillside.

About the Community Improvement Plan

The purpose of the CIP is to enhance buildings, streets and parks, initiate growth through private sector development, create a sense of community and attract tourism, business investment and economic development opportunities. The CIP will also investigate potential mechanisms for the municipality to assist in meeting attainable/affordable housing objectives.

Public Meeting

February 29th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. EST (in-person & virtual)
