The Kiwanis Club of Huntsville Muskoka presented the grand prize winner in its second Dinner Anywhere in the World Draw with her winnings on Tuesday, August 27.
Karin O’Reilly of North Bay took home a $5,000 travel voucher from Godfrey’s Travel in Huntsville, plus $1,000 cash for dinner, land transportation and accommodations.
The second and third prize winners were Karen Watt of Emsdale who won a dinner for two and stay at Deerhurst Resort and Liz McCallum of Huntsville who received a $300 voucher to use for dinner at her restaurant of choice in Muskoka.
In acknowledging that this year’s draw surpassed that of last year—it brought Kiwanis over $6,500 in net profit—the club’s secretary, Rick Brooks, said, “We are so blessed to have such a giving community and we continue to make many new friendships along the way. All monies raised through this fundraiser are reinvested into our community and programs focusing on children and youth.”
Brooks added that there are many people to thank after an event like this, “but safe to say a BIG ‘thank you’ again to our valued members and friends for their continual support and to all who supported our draw—see you again next spring.”
The club’s next fundraiser is the inaugural Kiwanis Club of Huntsville Muskoka Golf Tournament at North Granite Ridge on September 19. Find details here.
