A message from the District of Muskoka
King William Street will be closed to westbound traffic between Cann Street and Chaffey Street as of Wednesday, April 16, 2020.
Crews are preparing the site and mobilizing crews to restart construction for 2020.
Below is a list of affected roads:
– Muskoka Road 3 (King William Street) has been reduced to a single lane ( Eastbound Only ) from Fairy Avenue / Chaffey to Cann / Cliff Street.
– Westbound King William traffic will be detoured onto Cann Street which will bring them to Muskoka Road 2 (Chaffey) Detour has traffic turning right and then left on Manonimee to John Street. John Street will then bring traffic back to King William Street.
– Both Fairy and Chaffey will be closed to through traffic as we commence underground and road works in the Chaffey / Fairy intersection and continue to the east on King William.
– Access to Fairvern Nursing Home will be on Church Street which will remain fully open from King William through Mill Street.
– Hanes Street will be closed from King William to Morris accessible to local traffic only including access to the M&M / Family Restaurant ) strip mall from Fairy as well.
