June 3, 1958 – January 19, 2024
Joyce, a remarkably loving mother, peacefully passed away at age 65 on Friday, January 19, 2024, with loved ones by her side.
Beloved wife to John, mother to Amy (Josh), Ann (Brandon), Keith (Soizic), grandmother to Jethro and Mack, best friend to Lorraine, cousin to Robert, predeceased by her parents Jean and Tom Masson.
Joyce had a sharp wit, a great sense of humour, a kindness and generosity that knew no bounds. She had a strong passion for family, volunteering, chocolate, games, four-legged friends, cooking, and fine food. Many thanks to all of those who knew and loved her throughout her life and to those who helped with her care.
As was her wish, private cremation only. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Please share a treat with a loved one (dogs incl.) and remember Joyce.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joyce who was a parent at Pine Glen school when I taught there. She was a wonderful mother and a great parent volunteer and I enjoyed getting to know her through her children. She had a wonderful smile and a quick wit. I send my condolences to John, Amy, Anne and Keith. What a terrible loss you have suffered.

I was sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was a kind and caring person. She and John raised three beautiful children. My memories go back to the years at Pine Glen when Joyce was always there to lend a hand in school activities.
Joyce will be missed but remembered fondly. Thinking of family and friends.

I was saddened to hear the news of Joyce’s passing. I met her mother first, a very sweet woman. After her passing Joyce came to Thornhill and joined us at the York Farmers Market. Joyce was a wonderful addition to COBS Bread. Very kind and helpful to her customers. She was always happy to come in and greet everyone.
I extend my condolences to Joyce’s husband and children. I’m very grateful to have met such a lovely lady.
