Huntsville’s train station was once a bustling hub. This postcard photo, which shows the original two-storey station in Huntsville, was taken in 1910. The new railway station, which will be familiar to people today, was built in 1924.

HHS 1974. The Harlem Stars (similar to the Globetrotters) are playing the teachers. Agree it looks like Peter Jacob is #55 and the player hanging off the guy with the ball looks like Barry Ault. They also played the senior boys team after that with the help of a couple of the senior girls. I don’t think Huntsville fared well but it was a lot of fun. Some familiar faces in the stands. Photo credit to Kelly McCaw?
don’t know what event that is but the Huntsville player no. 55 is Peter Jacobs. My guess is that’s early 70’s or late 60’s.
It appears to be a exhibition game at HHS ,maybe teachers and not sure the others but definitely not high school players they look close to a pro team judging by how tall they are
It’s not serious since Peter is sporting a big grin at the Huntsville player hanging off the opposition player in center pic
I was in HHS from 74 to 78 and it’s before that time
I remember a Haarlem Globetrotters visit to HHS about 1966 or 67.
