The occasion was the new quad chair at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area. Doppler readers helped us out with some of the names (if you can add to the list, make a comment below!):

Nancy Griffin: Looks like Mike Ruby in the red suit.

Karen Litchfield: The woman in the plaid coat is Diane Litchfield (she was president of the ski club at the time). The event was replacing the t-bar with a new chairlift at Hidden Valley Ski Club. Hans Nischan is on the far left; Mike Ruby is in the red suit with white on the arms.
